Geometric Collage in Photoshop

Triptych: Reflections, originally uploaded by MontanaRaven.

Something I'm working on, just thought I'd share it with my blog readers. I hope you enjoy this colorful collage in the middle of winter. I certainly need the color! Please let me know what you think. Below is a detail of the triptych.

Aspiring Artist: it's impossible to tell you my process because I always do my artwork by the seat of my pants ... I don't follow steps, or a formula or even a manual, so I think you would have to be here, looking over my shoulder as I work, to know how I got to these results. I can tell you I use Photoshop and have never read the "manual" in all the 15+ years I have been using it (I started with version 1.0 when it first came out -- I think 16 years ago ...) I've been told by computer techies who are trying to repair my computer periodically that I "push my Mac and Photoshop way past what's it's meant to do..." (and I guess by implication they are telling me I should stick to the tried and true so my computer won't rebel. heheh

Anyway, my advice would be just to experiment with photos you think might have textures, forms, material for one of your visions ... then play with the colors, levels and blends until you get something that feels complete and right to you. Sorry I can't give more specific methods and process. ;-) Good Luck. And if you want, leave me a link to your website so I can see what kind of artwork you do. :)
